Art & Writing
Xanthe Wyse is an 'outsider' or 'fringe' artist. She expresses herself in visual arts to process stuck emotions plus to help her remember her storylines for the books she is writing. Currently her brain struggles to have any organisation and she forgets day-to-day details such as what day of the week yet she remembers thousands of links including from decades ago.
She prefers abstracts in bold colours and is saving up her art for exhibitions with a book launch for mental health awareness. This helps give her meaning and purpose in her life after losing nearly everything.
Art helps her feel calmer and less anxious. She usually paints while music is playing and has several pieces on the go at any one time.
Her art is helping her identify and focus on the main themes. One of the first books she is planning is called Pet Purpose.
